SunRise Kids Early Education & Care is a welcoming child care centre for Ipswich families with children from 6 weeks to 5 years. With four rooms spanning nursery, toddlers, Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten, your child can grow with us from their earliest days in care right through to the year before Prep.
Our days are built around play, curiosity and plenty of opportunities to explore. Each program follows the Early Years Learning Framework, while our Kindergarten program is led by qualified early childhood teachers and guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline.
Children can move between inviting indoor spaces and outdoor play areas where there’s room to climb, build, paint, imagine and discover, with educators nearby to encourage their ideas and help them take the next step.
You’ll find us on Warwick Road, just a short drive from Ipswich CBD. We’re open from 6.00am to 6.00pm, giving local families a little more flexibility around work, school runs and the rest of the day.
A nurturing environment to begin their early learning journey
The early years go quickly, and so much early childhood education happens through everyday play. At SunRise Kids Ipswich, we focus on supporting children as they explore, make mistakes, try again and build confidence in a place where our qualified educators know them well.
We follow each child’s interests, whether that’s trucks, painting, books or the water tray, and use them to shape new activities and conversations. Along the way, children build practical skills, independence and social skills that help prepare them for Prep and life beyond the centre.
Families are part of the journey too. We share photos and updates through Storypark and always make time for a chat at pick-up, so you can stay connected to what your child is learning, enjoying and working towards.
Building strong foundations for school and beyond
Preparing for school is about much more than recognising letters and numbers. It’s also about learning to listen, communicate, solve problems, work with others and keep trying when something feels challenging.
Across each room, children are given age-appropriate learning opportunities to build these skills through play, routines and everyday experiences. As they grow, they become more independent, more confident expressing their ideas and more comfortable taking part in group learning.
By the time children reach Kindergarten, we then introduce early literacy, numeracy, problem-solving and classroom-style routines through stories, games, projects and hands-on learning guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline.
The aim is to help children leave us with a strong sense of themselves as learners and the confidence to take that next step into Prep.

At SunRise Kids Ipswich, our age-specific programs are designed around each stage of early childhood development. Through play, routine and hands-on experiences, we support children as they build new skills, work towards developmental goals and prepare for primary school.
Nursery
6 weeks to 15 months
In the nursery, we create a calm and caring space where your baby feels secure and loved. Our educators follow your child’s routine, giving them comfort and gentle support through songs, sensory play, cuddles and quiet time. These first experiences help babies feel safe and ready to explore the world around them.
Toddlers
15 months - 2.5 years
Every day is an adventure for toddlers, and our environment is designed to keep up with their energy and curiosity. Children are encouraged to climb, build, create and explore in ways that feel exciting and natural to them. From messy play to music, craft activities and outdoor discovery, each experience is shaped around their growing curiosity, independence and interests.
Pre-Kindy
2.5 years - 3 years
As children grow and their curiosity expands, our Pre-Kindy room gives them space to ask questions, make friends and learn through play. Educators guide them with patience and care, and plan activities that are as exciting as they are educational, drawing on the Early Years Learning Framework to notice what each child is ready to try next.
Kindergarten
3 years - 5 years
Our Kindergarten program balances fun and learning to help children build confidence for their move into school age. Led by qualified teachers and guided by the government-approved Kindergarten Program, children explore new ideas through hands-on activities and group learning.

Do you provide meals and other everyday essentials?
Yes. Nutritious meals, nappies and wipes, sunscreen, hats and insect repellent are all provided at the centre, which means there’s a little less to pack each morning. We also offer developmental programs, incursions, excursions and other activities throughout the year.
How do you differ from other Ipswich childcare centres?
